The Magic Wand Project

Making dreams come true!

We're featured in this edition of Jet!
The story is about all organizations who give away prom dresses. Our mention is in the blue box.
Local event and wedding planning companies Events of Sophistication and Black Bag Productions are proud to present "The Magic Wand Project."   Our mission is to provide formal and semi-formal attire for underprivileged young men and women to wear to their junior and senior proms.  This is a special time of year for high schoolers and during senior activities, the prom in particular can be an overwhelming expense for students who have dreams of attending their homecoming dances and proms, enjoying the start of the school year, looking forward to graduation and heading off to college in the fall. The Magic Wand Project strives to help parents make their high schooler's dream of having it all come true - help us spread some fairy dust and make it happen.

We thank our in-kind sponsors, H Jackson Images, and Creative Finishes professional photographers who will be at our DC and Baltimore events respectively, to capture all of the magic for us and our host hotel, Embassy Suites Convention Center DC and Sassy Nail Spa.  We especially thank our sponsors and you can become one too - just visit our contact us page.   We are thrilled with the responses so far and so excited that we have been able to give away so many dresses this spring!  We especially thank our new fairy godmother Lynne Williams and Miss Black Teen DC 2009, Brianna Burnette for helping us add giveaway dates and that special touch to our events.
